Aeropodcast #77: Hey, It’s Jay Leno
Koss and Fourhman join Joe this week to discuss ER and American Ninja. Well, we started and ended on that note, but in between, we did discuss review score disparity, and how to compare arcade titles and full sized games when it comes to review scores. This topic came to Fourhman when he saw the reviews for Bonzai Barber coming in at an 8 out of 10 over at IGN, and trying to quantify that. Koss felt that the issue was review scores themselves being the issue, where Joe gave a personal slant to it, talking about reviewing games like those that come from Telltale and comparing the scores to mainstream titles he had reviewed.
In the community corner, we were asked a question by TheTony asking what new IP would we like to create and for bonus points, what platform would we release it on. We had some surprises and of course something offensive to PETA, because deep down, we love those animal lovers. In the news we look at the Lips mics being used for games other than Lips, the PowerGlove turning 20 and the PS2 selling for $99 among other items. So sit back, take a seat and maybe watch Collision Course while looking for some sailors to get the full impact of this episode of the Aeropodcast.

First impressions of this episode: You guys are dicks for dissing Lost! It's the best action/drama on TV! It's got everything! Love triangles, fat people, dynamite, attempted baby-napping, and *SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* time travel!
I love me some Lost (and some Aeropause).
A-ha! It does not appear to have blue dong twinkies, Jay Leno or Uwe Boll, so Lost fails at having it all.
Oh go play s'more Monster Vs. Aliens!
Game of the year! You heard it here first. You are just jealous of my built-in kid defense for achievements.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe I saw you playing said game at a very late hour. A time that I would assume your son to be asleep at. What do you say to that?
Are there Lost spoilers? if there are AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
if not, good, you know what, I'll watch some Lost now
There was just a small, but you could sorta see it coming, spoiler in my first comment.
I think that you have to look at the actual review, not just the score. IGN writers mention that plenty of times. The score is just an arbitrary number that represents the review. If you want to get a good impression of the game you absolutely have to read the review. If you want to compare scores you have to compare genres and prices. You can't expect to get the same gameplay for a game that is $50 less.
