Oops, You Put Glitches in My Fallout 3 DLC – UPDATED

Submitted by on March 24, 2009 – 9:58 am4 Comments

For many Fallout 3 owners, we have been looking at the calendar, waiting for today.  Today marks the launch of the new Fallout 3 DLC entitled, The Pitt.  It adds a new location, Pittsburgh, along with several new achievements, missions, collectors quests, and even new perks.  While I have not had a chance to download it on the PC side, Nuka-Cola.net had some friends who did download it, and instantly got a ton of problems, including texture issues, floating exclaimation marks and more.  Check out the above video, and then the link for another one that shows more glitched instances.

As of now, The Pitt has been pulled from the marketplace, and should be fixed soon.  No word on what the problem is, but I am sure it can’t be worse than releasing an alpha build to the public as a final copy.  Also, it looks like this is contained to the 360 version, as there have been no reports of issues with that DLC as of yet.

UPDATE: As fast as we can post information in this day and age, developers can correct errors at the same speed.  It looks like everything is back up and running normally, but we will keep an eye out for more trouble.

Hmm… Maybe the floating exclamation points are similar to the bat signal. Do you play as a punctuation-themed superhero in The Pitt?

    Thanks for the update!

Very funny. I love in the video where the guy tries to shoot an exclamation point.

Maybe this is just a viral video for the next Metal Gear?
