Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

2K announced today that the next chapter of Max Payne will come out later this year. We got some details from the press release.

“We’re starting a new chapter of Max’s life with this game,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”

Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out.

As you can tell by the picture, when somebody grows a beard or gets more scruffy that means something is really going down.  Usually it’s something really bad. Max Payne 3 will be coming out on the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 this winter.

More importantly are the details that were left out of the release, namely, what ending of Max Payne 2 they are using. I want the New York Minute ending because it was the better of the two if you are a fan of Mona Sax.

Hmmm, without a Vlad, I wonder who could end up being the bad guy. Max took out just about anyone that was a serious enemy. Maybe a demon from his past that we have yet to meet. Or just an outcast from the law. As long as we get a solid, well written story, I am sold, day one.

Rockstar, please stay away from the notion of needing Multiplayer. Just focus on story. We saw what your multiplayer would look like in Stranglehold, and that isn't saying much.
