Hasbro Game Night Coming to Xbox Live Arcade Tomorrow

After a month of waiting since its initial announcement, Hasbro Family Game Night is finally making its debut on the Xbox Live Arcade.  Hasbro Family Game Night brings classic Hasbro board games, like Scrabble, Boggle, Battleship, Connect Four, Sorry, Yahtzee and the new Sorry Sliders.  Each are brought to life in a similar fashion as their Nintendo Wii debut.

The downside to this announcement is that each game will be sold separately, so you will have to buy each game at 800 points a piece. at seven games, that comes out to $70 for all of them, equaling the full price of a standard Xbox 360 title.  It was too good to think that these titles would be bundled for, say 1600 points, a price I would be happy to pay.  At 800 points a piece, I will just wait until they discount them.  Even worse is that the game is only $40 on the Wii.  Way to stick it to the consumer Electronic Arts.  Check out Microsoft’s website for more info on the title(s).

Don't forget that there's the PS2 version, which control wise is pretty much like the XBLA title. And the PS2 version is now only $19.99.

The only thing the Wii and PS2 versions don't have is online play and 'Yahtzee'.

Even with the online multiplayer, I think it's pretty much agreed that it's all very pricey for the full package. still, I'll check it out. that, And hunt down all the contests and code giveaways that there are for the game…

I did not know that Scrabble was not in the PS2 and Wii versions. I get that a game like Scrabble might be worth 800 moon bucks, but Connect Four? Battleship? I was hoping this was a typo, but alas, it is not.
