I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Gametap Thursday: Get Buggy With Your Bad Self

Submitted by on March 12, 2009 – 3:48 pm2 Comments

gametaplogoGametap has rolled out their new releases for the week, and up in front we have an announcement that is almost a year in the making.  Finally, after nine months of waiting for it, Insecticide Part One is now coming to Gametap subscribers.  Insecticide has you roaming the insect kingdom as a law enforcement officer trying to solve a crime.

Grimm also has a new episode that is free to play for the first 24 hours starting today called Sleeping Beauty.  This episode of Grimm is probably the biggest of the bunch, and will have you getting far more involved to get to the conclusion of the episode.

Rounding out the trio of new games this week is Freak Out: Extreme Freeride, which is an extreme skiing simulator.  Okay, this last title may not be the greatest, but Insecticide and the new Grimm title should give Gametap subscribers a lot of entertainment.

The free game of the week is actually going to be free for two weeks, due to the revamp of the Gametap front end is Just Cause.  Just Cause features Rico Rodriguez as a super spy trying to liberate a fictional country that eerily similar to Cuba.  I was not a fan of this game (as you will hear soon enough), but for free, it is probably worth a try.

As mentioned above, the new Gametap interface will be coming in two weeks, so there will be no weekly releases for next week.

Awesome! I was just earlier this week wondering whatever happened to the PC version of Insecticide. The DS version slammed so hard against the platform's limitations, I am so down.
