Army of Two Sequel Announced

Submitted by on March 12, 2009 – 11:24 pmNo Comment

armyoftwo40thWhen I finally got around to the first Army of Two game, I had a lot of fun with it.  It was a bit simplistic at first, but it became very difficult towards the final missions.  The weapon selection and customization was very impressive, and the levels were fairly well designed.

That said, I had issues with the single player AI, where my partner would routinely get killed by doing stupid stuff, of having your AI partner completely ignore your orders.  A lot of this came from the game being designed as a co-op title, so I can forgive a bit on the oversight.

Now Salem and Rico are back in Army of Two: The 40th Day, and they are fighting their way through Shanghai, China after a disaster befalls the city.  Cut off from the rest of the world, our two favorite mercs for hire have to find a way to survive the chaos and get back to civilization.  Army for Two: The 40th Day will be arriving this winter on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PSP.  Check out www.armyoftwo.com for more info on the game, or click the jump for the press release.
