Somebody Has A Beef With Capcom

Submitted by Joe Haygood on February 26, 2009 – 12:23 pmComments

goodoldcheapydCheapy D, a friend of Aeropause, and who also has a somewhat famous site, has put together a rather good open letter to Capcom discussing their haphazard approach to DLC for their just released Street Fighter IV.  His primary issue is that it looks like Capcom was already looking forward to the DLC for Street Fighter IV, instead of working out the issues with things like online play first.  I have not bought either Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting Edition, but I have to say that if a $15 game on the XBL is running rings around its bigger brother in the online arena, Capcom has a problem.  Take a look at the letter here.

I whole-heartedly agree about the lack of online ability. Clearly things were not so much in place when it hit, as I'm finding out through further play.

It looks like its setup to support larger matches, based upon the name of the screen (1 on 1 Match lobby), but right now it's a major PITA when I want to play with all of my friends at the same time.
