Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

Some New Screens for Ghostbusters on the Wii

Atari was nice enough to send over some new photos for the Wii version of Ghostbusters the video game.  Maybe it is just the fact I have been misunderstanding, but is the Wii getting a different version of Ghostbusters?  These screens make the game look a lot more cartoony then it has been in previous screens.  It leads me to believe it is a differnt development team and game, instead of a port from the 360 and PS3 versions of Ghostbusters.

I own a PS3 and a Wii, I just think that the contrast of “look and feel” styles would be an interesting contrast. I'm kinda for the change of graphics if it's for the Wii. It can't compete graphically to the realistic styles in both the 360 or PS3. I just hope that the core game, story and it's gameplay is intact.

Actually, I read somewhere that the Wii version of the game IS different than the 360/PS3 versions. The Wii version was being updated to use all of the Wii-specific capabilities: you shoot the proton gun with the Wiimote and throw traps by swinging the nunchuck, to say the least.

It's definitely making it hard to choose which version to get. The PS3 version is supposed to be the pinnacle of presentation, but the Wii version sounds like its going to have that fun-factor that associated with authentic Wii games.

Never thought I'd have to choose between the Wii and the PS3.

The Wii version is being developed by a separate development team, Red Fly Studios, of Mushroom Men fame, but is being developed in collaboration with the PS3/360 version. So it's generally the same game, but with a different visual style and of course, IR-based Ghostbusting. Who can argue with that?

I have already put in a patent for a nerf styled proton backpack accellerator attachment for the wii. it is a cardboard backpack, painted in the design of a proton accellerator, with a vacuum hose that attaches to the bottom of the wiimote. It will sell millions.

Did you know that there was a NERF-esque proton pack back when Ghostbusters was first cool. And yes, I owned one:

Oh and I had this one as well (but not as cool):
