This whole thing is a joke marketing gimmick.

  • morphiend says:

Yeah, but isn't it funny that the 'new' controller looks exactly like a DualShock?

After all of that “innovative control” garbage, they've gone and built what everyone else has. Tsk, tsk Nintendo.

  • The point of the Classic Controller was NEVER to be innovative. In fact, I'm pretty sure the point was to emulate the classic gameplay experience of past systems using a simple, familiar design.

Either way, it's unnecessary. I'm fine with the Classic Controller Amateur, if that's what it has to be called, now.

    Will not be purchasing.

And, yes, Sad Chao…the plug in thing is dumb. Very, very dumb.

Having seen the picture, to me it looks like an addon for the current Classic Controller, which clips on to the clip on the current one. Anyone agree

  • morphiend says:

I meant in general, not the classic controller. Although the original CC was closer to Super Nintendo-style than building one that looks like competitors' devices.

  • P says:

The main reason for the controller's release is to counter act against the lawsuit against the original design. No biggie, it's just a replacement for now.
