Riddick Release Date Confirmed, Demo En Route

Submitted by on February 23, 2009 – 1:14 pm4 Comments

riddick-1Atari dropped the news today about the release date for Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.  It looks likes people will be able to get their shank on starting April 7th in the US, and April 24th in Europe.  The release date is for all three platforms that Dark Athena is being developed on.

Also, the release date announcement came with the word that a demo would be coming to both the Playstation network and the Xbox 360 marketplace in March.  PC owners were left in the dark when it came to a PC demo.

Lastly, you will now be able to get more looks at the upcoming Dark Athena game, via the newly launched official website, right here.  After all of that news, it seems that Riddick has gone cross-eyed.

The game looks pretty bad ass, but it's not in my budget. The mutliplayer modes have really caught my interest, though. So far, I'm planning on getting Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Lost and Damned (maybe), and Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty.

Loooooved the first one on the PC years ago. It had something unique about it that I liked – maybe it was the way the sci-fi was presented.
