I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Good Old Games continues to release classic after classic, and this week is no different.  This week we have two new titles that have come to Good Old Games, Spellforce: Platinum Edition and Capitalism 2.

Spellforce: Platinum Edition contains the original game, as well as its two expansion packs.  The title is a mix between an RPG and an RTS, complete with some pretty good visuals.  The game will cost you $9.99 and comes with a game editor, avatars, videos showing off the creation of the characters, wallpapers and artwork from the game.

Capitalism II is a strategy game where the goal is to build your own business empire, including the marketing, expansion, product development and selling the final product for your business.  One of the first “tycoon” type games, Capitalism II stands the test of time as a great strategy game for anyone that wants to rule the world with their Widgets.  Capitalism II comes complete with a manual for $9.99.

Good Old Games also has one more bonus and a freebie for those that love Descent Freespace.  The bonus is that Good Old Games is holding a contest to give away a few free games.  All you have to do is follow them on Twitter and figure out which game company is about to sign with Good Old Games.  The contest will be ending soon, so follow GOG.com on Twitter, and post your answer here.

Secondly, for Descent Freespace fans everywhere, Good Old Games has a retrospective on the long lived franchise, and you can check it out here.  Why has no one picked up this great franchise and revamped it for a modern day release.  It is a game that really deserves to be revisited by a game publisher.  Also, when did they drop Descent from the title.  I always knew it as Descent Freespace, but I guess the sequel dropped the Descent prefix.
