Steam Gets Sony Online Entertainment, Weekend Deal

Submitted by Joe Haygood on January 16, 2009 – 5:20 pmComments

Valve Software let out a one-two punch of news today for the public.  First was the deal of the week, which happens to be Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.  Normally Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 would cost $19.99, but for this weekend only, you can get if for half price, $9.99.

The other bit of news was a surprise, as it had not come up in a rumor before this point.  Sony Online Entertainment has released some of their catalog to the Steam service.  Everquest, Everquest II, Pirates of the Burning Sea and Vanguard can now be purchased on Steam.  Each Sony Online Entertainment game comes with 30 days of free service.
