One Crack In The PSP 3000’s Armor

Submitted by Paul Munn on January 8, 2009 – 11:39 pmComments

The PSP 3000 still hasn’t been hacked to its core and yet another demonstration of cracker desperation has been found. They’re scouring PSP games for save game exploits and have apparently found one in GripShift, a stunt racer/puzzler that’s been out for a while now. PSPFanboy has video of the exploit which hasn’t yet resulted in root access to run pirated games on the system, but it could just be a matter of time.

Let’s hope not. The hardware’s still selling quite well overall and deserves actual software sales to go with it. I’d talk about all the different games I’ve played on mine lately but I can’t stop playing Puzzle Quest. I am badly addicted to that game, even with the bug on the PSP version that stops you from getting bonuses from your traveling companions.
