Gametap Thursday: Play Sid Meier’s Pirates for Free

Submitted by Joe Haygood on January 15, 2009 – 2:59 pmComments

Gametap has released their free game of the week, and it is a classic, Sid Meier’s Pirates.  Recently, Sid Meier’s Pirates was released as an Xbox Originals title, but on the PC, you can experience the game in hi-res quality, and for the price of free, which of course equals two euros in the European Union.

Also, Gametap has two new games that have dropped on the service, Shattered Union and Mahjong Investigation: Under Suspicion.  Shattered Union is a turn-based strategy game, based on the old hex grid style of gameplay.  Mahjong Investigation: Under Suspicion is like a Puzzle Quest type game, mixing two distinct game genres together.  In the case of Mahjong Investigation, it is mixing the game of Mahjong, and a detective adventure game together.  Match the titles to solve the mystery.
