Cosplay gone horribly wrong at Japan Judgment launch event

Simon Belmont on the phoneJudgment launched today in Japan, and Koji Igarashi was on hand to promote the game with some guy dressed as Simon Belmont, as he appeared in the game. Sort of.

As alarming as cosplay gone wrong can be, this is just a little bit creepy. Why does this guy look like a Japanese Mike Myers?
