Aeropodcast #67: Seth’s Here for the Shots

Submitted by Joe Haygood on January 27, 2009 – 2:49 pmComments

Joe, Fourhman and Koss roll in for another fun filled podcast, filled with intrigue, suspense and surprises. Well, not exactly. But we do have a discussion on why we as gamers feel the need to buy Special Editions of games. What is it that has us so excited about a bobblehead doll, statue, cloth map or other trivial item, that we have to spend $10-70 more on a release. We also look at some of our best and worst of the lot when it comes to special editions.

In our community corner We received a question from jrittmayer, asking what would our favorite game characters say to the new President of the United States, Fourhman comes up with a list, missing one funny, but probably Secret Service summoning phrase. We were also asked abou how long a game can keep our attention by XCWarrior, and a rant from TheTony about sending screenshots on the Wii. Also we have some great news articles, Ghostbusters development leading on the PS3, no ending patch for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 and more.

This week our music is by Revolution Void, which can be found at www.revolutionvoid.com. The podcast is put together by the Aeropause Mixmaster, Stephen Munn, and his twin turntables of steel.
