Turkey Sale on PlayStation Store originals, what’s worth it to you?

If two years in a row makes this an annual tradition, then the late-November $5 sale on the year’s PSN originals is an annual tradition. Last year I picked up Pain for the perfect price of $5. This year, as part of a special doorbusting Tuesday PlayStation Store Update, the following downloadable games are temporarily marked down to a measly $5. Which is $2 more than Linger in Shadows and I suspect that every single one of these titles is more fun than a pretentious art project. So what’s your thoughts on a fiver for:

  • The Last Guy
  • PixelJunk Eden
  • echochrome (PS3)
  • Novastrike
  • Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3

My personal experience says that The Last Guy is pretty cool… sometimes hard to see because the imagery is so tiny, and marred by an obnoxious countdown timer, but overall a fun game. I didn’t like the controls on the PixelJunk Eden demo (which makes me the only guy on the planet to hate on Eden), but I might go $5 for the full monty. echochrome looked interesting. The last two on the list did not.

Out of those five, I believe only Eden and Novastrike come with PS3 Trophies, and I know that will weigh heavily in your decisions. The sale ends ends next Thursday, 12/4/08.
