Microsoft has fixed Live issues, so sayeth the Major

Some of you have probably noticed that Xbox Live performance has been spotty over the past 24 hours. I assumed at first it was an issue on my end, but it slowly became clear that perhaps Microsoft’s much-touted service was suffering from its own ambitions once again. You may recall last year the service suffering after the launch of Halo 3 and Xbox 360’s literally started flying off shelves. Microsoft had since said that they had not adequately prepared for the exponential increase in membership and activity during that period and gave all members a free XBLA game for their trouble. It seems once again Microsoft is having some trouble keeping up with user demand. Gears of War 2 launched this month and thousands of users are beta-testing previewing the New Xbox Experience.

Major Nelson reports that Microsoft noticed the problem, and has now fixed it. You may continue shouting racial slurs while demanding milk from your mom without interruption.
