Pacific Rift Demo Now Online

Submitted by Richard Windsor on October 17, 2008 – 9:40 amComments

Sneaking its way onto PSN last night was the demo for the upcoming Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. It weighs in just over 600MB, which at PSN download speeds should be ready by the time the game is released. That aside, I got a chance to sit down and play it for a while, and I have some mixed feelings. First of all the graphics are pretty, but they don’t really look any better then the first game. Without a graphic update the game still looks great, but with so much time in between games I thought they would do something more. The one graphic improvement there is comes in the form of anti-aliasing. The first game was full of jaggies, but Pacific Rift seems to have much less of this going on. Gameplay wise it’s still Motorstorm, there isn’t much else to say. You race around dirt encrusted tracks in a variety of vehicles…enough said. Go download the thing and see what you think.
