LittleBigPlanet Sequel Is Already In The Works

BBC news has a nice article about British video game development.  They talk about Media Molecule’s story about developing LBP and gave us a little tidbit that a sequal is already being worked on.

Even before the game has hit the shops, the team are already at work on a sequel.

I do have a problem with this.  I honestly don’t think LBP needs a sequel right away but it needs to support the community to create great levels.  They should work on small expansion packs that enhances the level editor for the community levels.  Sure you can make sequel… but wouldn’t want to make the current LBP to be mini gaming platform?  Make small budget expansions and get a bigger profit margin from it?  Wouldn’t you rather get ideas from the community that can help you develop LBP 2?
