Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box to feature “Party” mode and race restarting

Submitted by Jeremy Yerby on October 31, 2008 – 4:15 pmComments

EA announced today that they are releasing Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box which will include the original game, the Cagney update, the Bikes update, and the all-new Party mode: an offline multiplayer mode that is designed for gamers to pass the controller to one another in various challenges. For existing owners of Burnout Paradise, the Party mode will be sold seperately as downloadable content.

Also promised in The Ultimate Box are new features such as race restarting, easier control for some early vehicles, and enhancements to PSN support on PlayStation 3. Not detailed is whether or not these new features will be available for existing Burnout Paradise owners. Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box is set to be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February 2009.

  • I like restart for the burning routes, but for everything else I still just drive around to another event. I originally hesitated on buying the game because there was no restart function, and because it was so open world, but now I wouldn't have it any other way.

I actually made a short and funny video about it, on my online show Multiplayer Singleplayer. Check it out!
