Unreal Tournament III 1.20 Patch Out For PS3

Submitted by on September 24, 2008 – 7:05 pmNo Comment

ut3_littleblacktears_196x178A brand new patch for Unreal Tournament III on the PS3 has been released and while it has no new content it cleans up several bugs, tweaks the game in a variety of ways, including the AI (yay!), and also closes up some exploits. (I last grumbled about the teammate AI here, but I don’t know yet if this patch fixes it.)

While I’ve held on to my copy of UT3 I rarely bust it out to play. I took it for a spin just the other night and the gameplay was fast, fluid, fun, and felt oh so good. There weren’t that many people online but Midway was doing the right thing by running a set of dedicated servers for each game type. In case you forgot you can host your own servers, including a dedicated server if you so desire. Add in complete end-user mod and level support (not available on Xbox 360) and you’ve got a shooter every classic shooter fan should own. It just looks that good and plays so well.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they patched Trophies in? I’d replay it all again and strive to smack down everyone online to get’em. Would you?

To get the patch, just pop the game in your PS3 and it’ll load up and patch itself automatically. For details on the patch, check out the mention at PS3Fanboy or the source at Epic Games.
