Made Man, Righteous Kill – Separated at Birth

    By Joe Haygood | September 1, 2008

I have been looking at the Righteous Kill poster for awhile, mostly due to interest in the movie, but also because I kept telling myself that I had viewed that pose before that De Niro had in the poster.

So tonight, I started digging around, and I finally found what I was looking for.  If you look to your left, you will see a game called Made Man, which was a second rate mafioso game.  But from that box shot, it is eerily similar how much the two shots look.  Both use that blood banner at the bottom of the box and the one sheet, along with De Niro, mugging almost the exact same way.  You can almost picture a gun in the hand that is not shown in the picture for De Niro.

So was the designer of the one sheet for Righteous Kill inspired by the bug infested game, Made Man, or was it just a coincidence?  I am hoping it was just a coincidence, because, the less we have to hear about Made Man, the better.
