Laugh or cry, but Mega Man 9 is live

Submitted by on September 22, 2008 – 7:42 pmNo Comment

Whether or not you should pick up Mega Man 9 depends on one simple question: When you are flung to your doom by a cunningly-placed brick popping out of the wall, do you laugh at the cruelty, or do you throw your controller against the wall? How about when you fall for that trick a second and third time?

Mega Man 9 is now available on WiiWare and is coming later this week to XBLA and PSN. The game has the retro appeal of an NES title with the options and features we expect of a modern game, including 50 or so challenges (a lot like achievements) to complete, some of which are really frightening to consider and downloadable content that has yet to be revealed (open that menu and it’s empty).

Having spent some time with the game struggling through Plug Man’s stage, I have to say the game is every kind of awesome.
