Aeropodcast #50: The Big 5-0

Submitted by on September 22, 2008 – 10:51 amNo Comment

Paul and Fourhman join Joe this week as we head into our 50th anniversary show. Actually, we are not having a huge celebration, but we do have some warm congrats from JC Fletcher of Nintendo Wii Fanboy, DS Fanboy and Tiny Cartridge, CrazyKinux at CrazyKinux, Ian Mikutel of The Wiire, Lloyd Hannesson from Nukoda, the DSLife podcast and WiiSpot podcast, and the Touch of Gaming podcast.

Our topic of discussion this week is where we buy games, and where we have had good and bad experiences. We look at Gamestop, Play N’ Trade, ebay, local shops, big box locations like Target and Best Buy, and even some local chains like Fry’s Electronics in the western US. Pacis sent us over the question of what music we like, with the whole crew ranging in different directions. Finally we have our news and our famous “What are We Playing” segment.

Thanks as always to Mixmaster Stephen and his wheels of steel for mixing the podcast this week, and to The Video Games Live: Volume One CD, which provided us some transition clips. Tracks used in order include Castlevania Rock(LIVE), Tetris Piano Op. 1, Halo Suite, God of War Montage, Warcraft Suite, and Kingdom Hearts, and can be found at your local music store and iTunes. Also, we have some interludes from Diablo II, which is produced and owned by Activision Blizzard.
