Bioshock Is Officially Gold, Demo To Arrive Oct. 2nd

All of you Bioshock fans, the PS3 version has gone gold and will be released on the 21st of October. Considering I have played this game both on the PC and the Xbox 360, I won’t be3 picking it up. However for those who are PS3 only, you’ll be able to download the demo on the 2nd. Presser after the jump.

Consumer demo available for download from PlayStation®Network starting October 2

2K Games announced today that BioShock® for PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system has gone gold and will be available at retailers across North America on October 21 and internationally on October 17. Additionally, PLAYSTATION 3 system owners will be able to experience their first foray into Rapture with the release of the playable demo, available for free download from the PlayStation®Network starting Thursday, October 2.

Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes, BioShock for the PLAYSTATION 3 system contains all-new content that augments and extends the experience in exciting ways. BioShock for the PLAYSTATION 3 system contains new features such as the inclusion of the Survivor difficulty mode, Trophy support and the addition of all-new Add-On Game Content that will be available for download shortly after launch. Pricing and availability for Add-On Game Content will be specified at a later date.

BioShock is a narrative-driven action experience that allows players to do the impossible as they journey through an amazing, immersive and terrifying world. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically mutated citizens, the player will come to grips with the mysterious and fascinating world of Rapture, a distinct Art Deco underwater utopia gone mad.
