Sigma Harmonics Trailer for DS shows Square-Enix’s love for the platform

Submitted by Stephen Munn on August 3, 2008 – 4:22 pmComments

Of all the things Square-Enix brought to DKΣ3713, Sigma Harmonics seems to be the only item that they’re letting us see right now. Here’s a Japanese trailer for the new RPG that shows the company is very fond of the money the DS platform has made them. Not many expected the success that their recent The World Ends With You game had when it arrived as an original and very different IP for the company.

The fact that Square-Enix is able to make so much money on original content as well as ports and remakes on the platform is the only kind of news owners of a platform could want: the good kind.

This footage is in Japanese, but that’s fine. I’m sure they’ll show us something in English before too long. I would imagine we might see this late this year or early next, as it’s due this month in Japan.
