Long time friend of the site, Tom Eberspecher, has sent over word that Reality Gap has launched a new online MMO game focused on casual play and microtransactions called Monato Espirit.

Monato Espirit is about a land far away, created upon the magic of dreams.  Each night the world is recharged by the moolight above.  However, nightmares, fostering terrible creatures, have invaded the world of Monato Espirit.  As the nightmares become stronger, the world is tipped more precariously into a state of darkness, battled only by powerful Archons.  Archons fight the nightmare uprising, using the power of their classes, be it a Sheriff, Mage or even a Harlequin to name a few.

Immersive fantasy world uses tickets instead of monthly subscription

SEATTLE, WA – August 11, 2008 – Reality Gap^TM has announced that its upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Monato Esprit^TM, will begin open beta today, August 11th. Monato Esprit^TM is a fantasy game in which players must save the dream world from an invasion by nightmares. Instead of the usual subscription model, Monato Esprit^TM uses the MetaTIX^TM ticket system, which allows players to use tickets to enjoy in-game features and otherwise play for free. Players can buy tickets or earn tickets by trading with other players.
