LittleBigPlanet Postcards

Visiting BestBuy sometime soon? PS3Fanboy reports that they’ve got a set of postcards showing up to fill people in on just what LittleBigPlanet is. I don’t think you can actually send them back home to your significant other like a real postcard, but they do actually cover all aspects of the game in an easy to understand way.

Think you’ll have to make all your own levels? Try 50 levels packed into the game on for size even though some will probably be short. Is it all happy happy platforming? Not if you need to rely on each other first and can then opt to slap the other guy off into the abyss when it’s time to collect the points at the goal line.

And while this card here initially worried me with “Chat with fellow SackBoys with text bubbles!”, making me think voice chat isn’t there, there isn’t a voice chat button in the menu being explained on that card. So here, absence of proof is not proof of absence.

Also just revealed is the US box art for the title, shown above. SackBoy does his best two-handed victory sign as you can see. While he sure is adored by press and previewers alike, he’s going to have a heated competition for retail dollars this fall. There are a ridiculous amount of fantastic games coming to the PS3 in October.

Box art from PlayStation Universe, postcards from PS3Fanboy.
