It’s very late, but here’s Yahtzee Croshaw’s review of Phantom Hourglass

As those of you who’ve been listening to our podcast will know, I’m currently plodding my way through Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I Stumbled onto Yahtzee Croshaw’s Zero Punctuation review of Phantom Hourglass at The Escapist a few minutes ago (there’s a mouthful), which I had somehow missed when it first appeared. Not sure I was aware of him yet at the time.
Anyway, of course, this is classic NSFW Yahtzee Croshaw so be warned, there is A LOT of high-speed profanity in here. While he predictably takes issue with the Ocean King’s Palace, and I completely agree, I was surprised at the issues he had with the sailing parts of the game, which I find so enjoyable that I have actually made spirals on the map while plotting my course so that I can spend more time at sea gunning down pirates and the like. That’s fine, you can decide which of our opinions is correct or, ideally, form your own by playing this excellent game.
My favorite part of the review is the very end where he complains about how the Zelda games all are basically the same premise despite how many of them there are, and he goes on to make a suggestion as to what Nintendo can do next time around which will seem increasingly familiar… the flaw in his suggestion is the sales numbers for that other game in comparison to this one, even though I do agree with it.
