Duke Nukem 3D Released….Again

Submitted by Joe Haygood on August 19, 2008 – 9:41 pmComments

Ah, to live in 1996, it was a great time for gaming with the original Quake coming out, but a smaller title from a development studio just down the road really outshined the big guy on the block, and that was Duke Nukem 3D.  While Quake brought us true 3D graphics, Duke gave us 2.5D graphics and lots of Bruce Campbell quotes.  And let us not forget the girls in tassles, which was huge for a game in 1996.

Well, according to George Broussard, it looks like Duke Nukem 3D will be coming to an Xbox 360 sooner than later, as the game has passed Microsoft certification as of today.  He also feels that the game will be priced as expected, which I would assume to mean 800 points.  Not confirmed, but that would be a fair price for a game like this.

Also, Achieve360Points.com has a list of the achievements for the game, which comes in at 12 totaling 200 points.  There are the normal ones for finishing a episode of the game, but the more unique ones include “Looks Like a Cleanup on Aisle 4″ which gives you 10 points for stepping in a pile of crap, or “Shake It, Baby” worth 10 points for tipping a stripper.
