Dropship, APC, Tank, 4×4, Warhawk, Jetpack. Wait, there’s a Jetpack?

Submitted by Paul Munn on August 7, 2008 – 2:03 pmComments

Warhawk’s got a variety of ways to get around when you decide you need to get somewhere fast and hoofing it won’t cut it. You’ve got your troop carrying Dropship to truck 6 or more of you around and hail down machine gun fire or missiles; there’s the APC mobile spawn point, weapon carrier, and ramming vehicle; the tank to shoot down planes or shell hapless infantry to the stone age; the helpful 4×4 to carry a passenger and gunner; the signature fighter craft the warhawks; and now you’ll get a jetpack.

The jetpack wasn’t officially announced, mind you, but when the full Trophy list also coming in this patch was leaked to GameFAQs it had some that directly reference a jetpack. That kinda spilled the beans and the developer has since responded that yes, a jetpack is coming. A subset of those Trophies will be retroactive, by the way, matching up with your online rank on day one.

Warhawk is the fourth PS3 game to get Trophies in two months. Super Stardust HD, PixelJunk Eden, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune now have them. While I wish more games were getting them patched in, this is a good start since these are some of the best games on the system to date and I like them all.
