I never cared about online games until my husband introduced me to SWG. I had two accounts (Junetine) and (Jennifer Khome. I remember when people could have professions and it wasn't a sin to socialize in the game. There wasn't a need to constantly grind to the next level.

At various points in SWG I was a doctor, a dancer, a musician, and a swordsman. I never wanted to be a "jedi." I hope that Bioware understands that there is a community of players who just want to play, socialize, and feel like part of a community. SWG eventually changed from a place where people helped one another via their professions to an environment where everyone was trying to become a "jedi." I hated it and quit playing.

Last year I tried other online games. SIMS had some of the social aspects that I enjoy... but lacked substance and a purpose. I also tried EverQuest and WOW. The graphics were great but I hated having to go on constant missions or quests.

I can only hope that KOTOR will include some of the earlier SWG characteristics. I loved helping others out by being a dancer or a musician. I liked being able to heal people during raids. I relaxed by running around checking my harvestors.

NOTE TO THE DEVELOPERS...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make KOTOR a game that I can enjoy. Having the players finish quest after quest is not the way to go.

just read somewhere else that this may be a heavily instanced game like AoC and that it will not have any sandbox type component.

if this is true. i just went from must buy to must avoid.

Just hope its not a world full of hopping around jedi.
please make it an mmorpg like swg just before the nge hit. that was the best swg.
make attaining jedi difficult but fun.
