Granted, they showed a lot of titles that won't be released this year, but that is what I want to see at E3. I've already seen pretty much all I need to see on games that are coming out this year. I already know I want Gears 2, Fable 2, Resistance 2, LBP, etc. What I want to hear about are new hardware features and software I've yet to see. Sony delivered strongly on both fronts. MS was a little lacking in the latter department. Yeah, DC Universe wasn’t very impressive graphically, but that seems to be the nature of the genre. GOW3, Infamous, MAG, DC Universe are all likely more then a year away. If you look at AAA titles (for the rest of 2008)they have Resistance 2 & LBP. I think all the talk about 2008 being the year of Sony is a bit too strong. I think that MS and Sony are pretty well matched this whole year. It's next year that MS should start to worry about. They need to score at least 3 or 4 new exclusives in the next year, if they don't then 2009 WILL be the year of the PS3. So it is between Microsoft and Sony. I thought Microsoft did a good job, but most everything they showed with multiplatform (GHIV, Fallout, Rock Band, FFIX). The new dashboard interface is great and so is he avatar implementation, but I'm mostly interested in games. Microsoft didn't have any big reveals like Sony (MAG, DC Universe Online). The already known about games like Gears 2 and Fable 2, but there were countered by Little Big Planet, GOW3, Infamous, etc. MS simply didn't have any big exclusive surprises gamewise (except LIPS).
