Sony Gives Star Wars Galaxies The Free Treatment, For A Month

    By Joe Haygood | July 3, 2008

Last month, we had a story about Sony giving players that had left Everquest II, the opportunity to return for about a month for free.  Seems that this process may come about for all the MMORPG games that Sony Online Entertainment is handling as I just got an email today telling me my account for Star Wars Galaxies has been reactivated from June 28th to July 31th.

Seems that there are a lot of changes that have happened in the universe since I left and that I need to experience, according to Sony.  Not sure what those changes could be as the last time I went back to Star Wars Galaxies, it was like a ghost town, with myself finding hardly anyone to quest with.  That said, it is always hard to turn down free, and my Twi’lek bounty hunter could use some action.

Don't they have like a total of 150k players in all their MMOs combined now? They should try to buy a popular free MMO and keep it free, but put it under their name or something.
