Logitech To Produce Premium Instruments for Guitar Hero World Tour

Submitted by Joe Haygood on July 31, 2008 – 11:15 amComments

Activision announced a partnership with Logitech today to produce premium instruments for Neversoft and Activision’s upcoming rhythm game Guitar Hero World Tour.

Logitech will be creating instruments for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and the Playstation 2, with the first of these instruments coming out this fall.

“Logitech is the leading producer of peripheral devices and the company is widely considered to be the gold standard for innovation and quality peripheral products,” said Charles Huang, vice president business development for RedOctane. “With Logitech, we know we have found the right partner who can deliver top-quality premium hardware that consumers have come to expect from Guitar Hero.”

Question to all of these game producers: How much frickin’ room do you think I have for all of these molded plastic play toys?  Now all of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games have to have premium controllers?  This is really starting to get out of hand.  Now excuse me, I have to mitigate marital damage as I contemplate my Ione Drum Kit purchase.
