Grimm Released on Gametap, Completely Free
By Joe Haygood | July 31, 2008
The long in development American McGee’s Grimm, has been finalized and should be on the Gametap marketplace on the East Coast by the time this is posted.
To celebrate the release of Grimm, Gametap is allowing the free download of the game for one day only, with that day being July 31st.
If you haven’t been following the development of Grimm, favorite ExPat American McGee created the Grimm series as a weekly to bi-weekly episodic game that will explore the darker side of Grimm’s fairy tales. The original Grimm’s fairy tales were a lot darker than Disney has made them out to be, and American McGee felt that the video game medium would make a great way to portray that dark vision. There are suppose to be seven to nine episodes for the first season with more coming by the end of the year into next year.
*Correction
The first episode is not just free to play today, it’s permanently free to play on GameTap.
The remaining episodes 2-7 will be free to play exclusively on GameTap, but only for the first 24 hours.
Thanks, Wendy!
