Game Couch’s 10 Things GTA V Needs

Submitted by on July 24, 2008 – 8:27 pmComments

Game Couch has an insightful list of the 10 things GTA IV needs to spruce up the game. Perhaps we’ll see at least 1 of these suggestions in an upcoming downloadable content distribution, who knows. While most of his points were well addressed, I especially took heart to more minigames; There are countless spots around the map that cry out minigame, don’t you think – like the skate park and driving range.

More minigames.
Pool, Bowling, and Darts are fun, but it doesn’t take long for these events to get repetitive – especially since you really aren’t playing against anyone. I mean you are, but their skills and abilities are incidental since you can skip their turn and the whole idea is that you’re hanging out, not competing. Wouldn’t it be more fun if you were playing air hockey against Roman (who wasn’t good) or Brucie (who was)? Does Little Jacob have a good poker face? Think Packie’s boys are any good at paintball? See where I’m going here?

It definitely needs a better way to handle your friends. It's just impossible to see them all.
  • I'm glad you liked the article! And I know what you mean about: "There are countless spots around the map that cry out minigame..." I for one kept waiting for the roller coaster to open -- actually that whole Coney Island area.

Also, was I the only one waiting for a helicopter/jailbreak mission?
