First footage of Mega Man 9 right here, people

Capcom’s delicious experiment, an all-new NES game for WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, is now in motion.

If it looks familiar, that shouldn’t be a surprise. This is Mega Man 9, and it’s been designed to look just like it fits perfect right alongside Mega Man 1 through 6. As you can see, it’s got that classic look so many of us grew up on. This doesn’t look old to me, because I still play all those old game on my copy of Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Sweet.

This is coming to WiiWare this fall for 1000 Wii Points, which is $10, and the other platforms as well. Mega Man and the series defining Mega Man 2 are also coming to the Virtual Console, but for reasons I mentioned above, not so interested in those. The game will also have online leaderboards in some fashion.

  • OMG this brought back SO many memories. Mega Man 1-3 were some of my favorite games of all time. I think this is a great idea. I hope it sells well!
