Dead Space Talks Dismemberment

Submitted by Joe Haygood on July 24, 2008 – 2:32 pmComments

The Dead Space development team sat down for a new video that discusses a critical component of their game: dismemberment.  It seems that dismemberment is a great way to slow down your enemies, and can be an even better way to set creatures against their members.  I love the way you can decapitate a beast, and it will get pissed off and wildly start swinging at anyone within arm range, trying to inflict damage.  Very cool indeed.

And just an FYI, but Aeropause will be at a preview event for Dead Space next month, so look for some hands-on time with this creepy title.

What a concept! No seriously, why hasn't any other game done this jeezus...

I really can't think of any other game that has the feature of shooting off limbs and they still attack you.
