I kept expecting more of a Deus Ex meets Final Fantasy type game, but it is a simple hack and slash Diablo clone, that does not seem to do that quite right from the videos that Silicon Knights has released. Maybe I built up the wrong impression, but that was what I got from everything that was out there. If I want Diablo, I will go and break out my Diablo Warchest. Besides, the gameplay in Diablo does not seem to translate well to today's gamers, as Hellgate London proved. Even beyond the bugginess of that game, the hack and slash gameplay just did not work. I have to stop now, I might just start frothing at the mouth in irritation.
