Nobody Wants Their Hot Coffee Money
Does anyone remember back to last August, when Take Two decided to settle out of court and to put an end to the Hot Coffee scandal that came with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? Well if so, you probably remember that if you were a purchaser of a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas property, you could get their game exchanged for an M rated version of the game or up to $35 reimbursement with proper documentation.
Well as of today, not many people have signed up for either solution. The legal firm, which made a whole lot of money off of this lawsuit, said that as of today, only 2,676 people have taken advantage of the refund or replacement.
I have to ask why they are so shocked. Gamers thought the whole lawsuit was frivolous, as no gamer ever complained. Parents did, but one has to ask why they are letting their younger children play a game of this type.
The other thing is that with all of my research for this story, I saw many of the pictures from the Hot Coffee mod, and took some screen caps of my own, to only feel offended when someone tries to tell me that is AO rated behavior on the screen. If it is, I must be dead below the waist, because all I see is poor looking models that just look decent at best and painfully horrendous at worst, because of the four year old graphics. I mean just looking at the picture above, can you honestly say that it looks to contain sexually lewd images. And when the sex does occur, all it looks like is rounded Tetris pieces spinning from one position to the next.
Maybe someone should sue the lawyers for bringing a lawsuit over this whole ordeal.

“you “”oculd”" get their game exchanged for an M rated version of the game or up to $35 reimbursement “”iwth”" proper documentation.”
This was a surprise to me, but really you can’t blame the lawyers for this one.
Rockstar was just plain STUPID in how they handled the PR for this one. That plaigarizing game did the right thing by saying they were MORTIFIED at what happened, whether it’s true or not. At least they said something.
Yeah, the denial was the most amusing for me. “Hackers put that in there.” Nice.
And of those 2,676 people, only 1 person wanted the money to buy Rambo.
I thought about going for the $30, but – aside from never actually seeing Hot Coffee in action and certainly not being offended by regardless – I was never clear about where the money came from. So Take Two had to gather X million dollars… with all of that unclaimed, where does the rest go? If the unclaimed amount is now just headed towards lawyers, as gamers we should grab the dough stuff it in an envelope and send it right back to Rockstar.
