Nintendo job posting implies USB devices need testing.
Recent comments by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata had us wondering if his company would come through with a storage solution for users soon. A June 6th job posting by Nintendo of America seeking a contracted “Software/Hardware Tester” makes mention of “Creating and executing a test plan for Wii’s USB devices.” While the immediate thought is that this could hint at a USB hard drive or flash drive, there is no mention of a specific type of device here, only the interface. Keyboard functionality is already in place on Wii, though it’s not widely advertised. There is also a USB ethernet cable adapter for those who don’t want to use the wireless connection built-in. Read on below for the full text. Props to Nintencast for catching this.
