It’s been a long time coming, but here is the first gameplay footage of the eagerly-anticipated Diablo III. It’s a long one, but I’m sure we’ll all be watching it over and over again.

I’m semi excited about this. Diablo 2 is still one of my favorite games of all time. I tried to play Dungeon Siege as a new/alternative and hated it. Diablo 2, which is older, still did things better than it did. Yes DS has better graphics than D2, but D2 was still superior. It really changed how viewed RPG’s and on-line RPGs. Without it, Everquest and WoW would not have been what they are, and I’d even venture to say that it wouldn’t have created a market that was ready to bite into either of them.

Here’s hoping that it sticks to its roots, adds/upgrades things and doesn’t require a PC from the future to play (Yes, Crysis I’m looking at you).
