Guitar Hero World Tour Supports GHIII DLC

Submitted by Joe Haygood on June 21, 2008 – 7:09 pmComments

Stepping up the battle between the next versions of Rock Band and Guitar Hero, Neversoft and Activision have now come out and said that they will support all DLC bought for Guitar Hero III.

So as of now, Guitar Hero III DLC will not work in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, but it will work in Guitar Hero World Tour.  Hopefully this will be a nice nudge to get Harmonix and MTV behind the support of Rock Band DLC in Rock Band 2.

  • Yeah I wanna play my dragonforce track pack in Gh IV WT. But I wanna do it on the drums. Whatev though, its just gonna be the best band game with a music creator

I used to be a big GHIII fan, but after playing rock band for over the past 4 months... I have to say GH is missing the mark. Since owning Rock Band, I've been able to dl some really great tracks (The who, Pixies, The cars, etc.), that are just not offered on GH. In addition, I went out and paid 65.00 bucks for GH Aerosmith and was really disappointed. GH is more challenging to play, but it just doesn't have the songs. Hopefully with the next version, an increased song library will be a major focus.
  • Kotaku reported this, but without noting any source... and IGN reported otherwise. So who knows.
