Devil May Cry 4 PC Demo Now Available

Submitted by Joe Haygood on June 5, 2008 – 4:10 pmComments

After a successful launch on the 360 and great sales, Capcom is finally getting around to the PC version of Devil May Cry 4, and have now released a demo so PC gamers can test the performace of the game on their rig before purchase.

A few weeks ago, I talked about my experiences with Devil May Cry 4 on the 360 and just had all kinds of issues with the game.  It was not that it was bad, but I just really seemed to suck at the game.  I don’t expect to see the PC version make me any better at the game, but I do want to see if this game looks even better at high resolutions with full AA turned on.

I am also curious to see if Capcom has taken some lessons from Lost Planet and actually included mouse support, as it was sorely missing from last year’s Capcom releases on the PC (Devil May Cry 3, Resident Evil 4, and Onimusha 3).  Also, it would be nice if it supported Games for Windows Live, but I believe it is lacking Live support, which means no achievements.

Look for the demo here, and check out my impressions tomorrow on how the demo looks and plays.

  • Mouse support?! This game is absolutely not for mouse and keyboard users. It's all about a controller.
