EverQuest Coming To PS3
It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since I first set foot in EverQuest Online Adventures on the PS2. My brother James and I recently commented on how we had fun with it despite its somewhat primitive graphics. My wife recalls me playing it and calls it “the running game” because you’d basically have to run everywhere as a low level character.
The game is still around in the form of its one expansion, Frontiers, which is still under development here. A tidbit near the end of the July 2008 issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine has me thinking we might see the EQOA franchise or its even better, long-lost hack-and-slash cousin Champions of Norrath again.
The issue has a five-star review of Metal Gear Solid 4, a review I won’t read at all to avoid spoilers, and on page 95 they simply say in an “Ask Kratos” blurb that there will be an EverQuest game on PS3. They don’t say if it’ll be an MMO or not, or if it will be a new Champions of Norrath game which, you’ll recall, first had a subtitle for its first chapter named “Realms of Everquest”.
I’d take either if the online portion were free, but a current-generation Champions game would fill a very important void in the PS3′s lineup. I consider it downright criminal that SOE didn’t buy Snowblind outright and get to work on a PS3 Champions game after Champions: Return To Arms was done, despite the one or two minor bugs it had with elemental effect stacking. Here’s hoping we got some high-definition hack-and-slash with even better online play than Champions: Return To Arms had.

Are the people at Sony complete idiots? I know for a fact that they made money hand over fist with everquest there were many people with multiple accounts including myself and they just let the game die. Now there is a chance to bring it back to life, because we all know that if there was a EQ3 for the PS3 all the people would buy ps3's and come back to the game. So why they would make every game BUT eq3 for the ps3 is beyond me other then they are idiots.

They should definatly make a new EQ for ps3, i LOVED eq for ps2, played it for a long long long long time, and would still love to play if they would just expand their thing more. Whether its just an expansion for frontiers that updates its to ps3, that would still be awsome with updated graphics and some new monsters/ quests/ items. Please look into it SOE!!!

yes yes come on soe bring eqoa to the ps3 I played for 5years or so off and on I loved the characters had a lvl 60rge with 1325cm. eqoa would be awesome on my projection I hate tring these new mmorgps on a computer screen downloaded d&d, lotr, and eq on the pc today and all still cant hold my attention becaus eof this small screen have a 80 ret pally on wow but stoped playing thay months ago. eqoa needs some spin off or just a simple port to the ps3 like right now. I ve been back to eqoa off and on but found myself playing DAO dragon age orgins which is awesome but this small rpg can only be a snack to hold me over for a ps3 version of eqoa. Also in a last note man I hated demon souls game just sucks

i played eq on pc for 5 years then went to ps2 when it came out played it for 3 years or so the games awesome exspecially when it first came out on pc it kinda sucked when the changed the graphics with that moon expansion thats why i went ps2. ive been playin the new ffxiii its graphics are pretty awesome if they could make a everquest for the ps3 with graphics like it just more everquestie itd own

Yeah, she looks like she is PL'ing at Phants. I don't remember the blue on the perimids though, so it could have been in Cazic Thule, I can't remember though. I am really hoping for a PS3 release of EQOA. I spent way too much time on that game, but I had a lot of friends I hope to meet again if they ever make another EQOA. You know we will all be there too!

im looking for another copyof eqoa, all my ps2's died n it wouldnt let me transfer the data to another ps2, miss my toons “tranzheal and tranzwar” i just got my ps3 n my gf is buying me a copy of eqoa so goinh top try to get it working on my ps3. tried d&d n even hit eq2 as hard as i did when it was eqoa but it was never the same. so why not start a page on “facebook on every1 that is interested in getting back into eqoa??? that would rock if anything I'll be going back to “marsfist” starting over n remastering my toons. hope to see you all their one day n revitalize the game from the dead. I was in the guild “death before dishonor” or something I know it was “before dishonor” something, yeah like I said hope to see you all their.
Bah, They wont bring out anymore eqoa's. think about it, They have been teasing the theory of an expansion for 5 years. Its just a money con to keep all of you still playing. When they deleted my mains and my sons mains from our accounts over something that should have just been a simple short suspension that is when i said im done with this crap. There was so much favoritism in eqoa with the devs it was pathetic. Someone would get in trouble or suspended/banned over something that one of the devs buddies did the day before with no repercussion. So when the day comes that they can give players back things that was taken from them is when i would come back. But it was one of the most fun mmo ive ever played.
