Darkrai coming to Toys R Us this weekend.
For the last several years, Toys R Us has partnered with the Pokemon brand to provide free game downloads… and this year’s event brings us the mighty Darkrai. I don’t know much about him (her? it?) other than he’s a legendary on the same scale with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl cover critters Dialgia and Palkia. And I want him.
Call your local TRU to verify if they are participating (make sure you ask for Darkrai, and relish the “Whuh?” response), and then get out there this weekend. You’ll need your DS, your copy of Diamond and/or Pearl, and a few seconds to stand inside the comforting haze of the store’s DS WiFi blanket. Also, there will be children there.
Only one per game cartridge, and there’s some nonsense with Wonder Cards that you have to track, but there will be instructional signage at the store.
