October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

Weekend Gaming Score: Psyclone DS Lite Premier Pack

Submitted by on April 18, 2008 – 6:50 pm7 Comments

A trip to Target these days is never complete without a trip to the endcaps at the back of the store where the clearance items are gathered. Everything from major game releases like Killer7 for Gamecube and Blue Dragon for 360 to tie-in merchandise like Halo ActionClix can be had for just a dollar or a few.

Today’s trip was a great success because Target’s liquidating their supply of Psyclone’s DS Lite Premier Pack. The normal price is $24.99, and Target’s dumping a large number of these for $6.24. Psyclone is Griffin’s gaming product line.

Not impressed yet? Check out what it includes.

• Car Charger
• NDS or DS Lite USB Cable
• Game Case
• Heavy-Duty Case
• Retractable Earbuds
• 2 Screen Shields
• Cleaning Cloth
• Stylus Pen
• Charge Stand
• Neoprene Sleeve

This was a fair price at $25. At less than $7, you can’t turn this down. Note that the USB cable isn’t a data cable of some kind, that’s just for USB charging. I plan to use it connect to my Wii so I can charge my DS Lite on my desk.

Gah had the site been up earlier I’d have stopped at instead of driven by Target while on the way to pick up a new wireless access point tonight.

I found a similar bargain at Walmart. It came with a DS case, 3 DS Stlyus, Screen Protector, and Elite Beat Agent all for 7 bucks.

huge bargain i would have done it alone for the chargers

  • Bill Tangeman says:

Yes, you can sometimes find real gems in the Target discount bin. I recently got Blue Dragon for the 360 and Formula 1 Championship Edition for the PS3 each for $14.98.

  • Stephen Munn says:

The kit is great, too. I have the USB cable set up with the charging cradle so I can charge my DS on my desk now. The amount of stuff in this set is surprising, and it all seems well made. I tried to push my wife to get one too when we were there because it was such a deal, and she already regrets not getting one.

  • Shane says:

If you look hard enough, you’ll find good deals. Just like when I saw the PS3 the other day for $500.
