Metal Gear Online Beta All Jacked Up
Konami has announced via their Metal Gear Online site that the Metal Gear Online beta has been postponed. It seems this isn’t just a beta for game, but also for their servers.
No word on how long of a delay we’re looking at, but I would guess five days or less since the beta test closure date has been extended by five days. Konami’s exact announcement follows:
We would like to thank all players for their keen interest in taking part in the beta test. However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected. As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the start of the US public beta test until we are able to stabilize our server. We would like to apologize for all inconveniences as well as confusion caused.
We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Starting date: TBA. We will be making another announcement on 22/4/2008 23:00(PDT)
2) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 11/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 06/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)
IMPORTANT: Please note that your voucher code will only be valid up until 05/06/2008, so please make sure to register them by then.

I’m glad they owned up to the problem instead of fixing them on the fly while people cried and complained. This is good news, and this is why they have betas. I’d rather have them catch this in beta than have the launch game buckle under the load.
Anything about the DVD codes that were only 9 digits?

They have little experience in online gaming so some screw-ups were bound to happen.
Maybe it will come out along with GTA 4′s release?

i dont know if i want to get a ps3 or not because this is the only game i will be missing out oncause i know that the bundle is coming out for like $460 but are there any big budget must haves for the ps3 that i cant get for my 360?
Why “big budget”? Why not just “great games”? Like PixelJunk Monsters or Locoroco Cororeccho.
